Blogging Has Psychotherapeutic Benefits?

You knew it would happen...sooner or later. Blogging has become so wide spread, that psychologists, neuropsychologists, and other bio- and behavioral scientists are doing research on the subject. Seems there are mental benefits to blogging, as reported in this Scientific American article.

I offer two questions:
1. Does blogging just make you "feel better?" AND/OR Does it significantly improve brain chemistry? Both are reported.
2. If blogging has true psychotherapeutic benefits, WHY are you paying $150/hour every week to support your psychotherapist. A listening ear could not be worth that much. Think what you could do with an extra $600 a month!!! (ooops...there goes my bank account.)

Maybe you should dump your therapist, start blogging, and use the 600 bucks on something you would REALLY like!
