In Case You Thought The April 21, 2009 Post Was A Bit Over The Top....

This came in my email today from the folks in support of traditional marriage. I print their words here exactly...you decide your opinion.

"As Californians wait for a decision from their Supreme Court upholding traditional marriage’s definition in our Constitution (expected in the next couple of weeks), homosexual marriage activists are ramping up their rhetoric to portray anyone who voted for Proposition 8 as hateful bigots. Yesterday, Equality California released an email that referred to us as being “motivated by fear and hate.” The ostensible subject of the email was their push for the state of California to recognize Harvey Milk Day as a statewide “day of significance,” thereby commemorating Milk in public schools across the state.

"Ironically, this same group of same-sex proponents fraudulently argued several months ago that public school curriculum would never promote same-sex marriage! Yet now they are pushing a bill that would require schools to hold ceremonies on campus to honor a man for his sexual identity. We don’t have to imagine what they would require if gay marriage was legal in California. Attorneys representing gay marriage in Massachusetts argued that parents should never have the right to shield their children from homosexual marriage curricula!

"A couple of weeks ago, an official with the Human Rights Campaign said on a national television program that supporters of traditional marriage are “outright bigots” who can only prevail through “lying and misrepresenting the facts.”

"You can see the strategy that is being used: anyone who disagrees with the aggressive homosexual agenda is a hateful bigot, and any argument against it is based on lies and misrepresentations. Worse still, the media never challenges this characterization by gay activists."

This was the exact point of the April 21 post: No one has a right to an opinion which does not agree with the Gay Agenda. I have gay friends who are not that way...it is the agenda and attitude of the leadership!

Christian Terrorists

It is often stated that one in ten people are Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual (GLB). However, if you look at the statistics, estimates range from 2 in 100 people to 10 in 100 people are gay. I say "estimates" because several problems exist in determining exactly what percentage of the population is gay. Reporting is the issue. The issue of this post is: Whether it is 2% or 10%, these folks are our brothers and sisters. It just kills me when the Christians who go on and on about Christ's love and then turn around and brutalize gay people. I do not think the Christian God approves. So, you tell me: What is the difference between Christians hammering gays and Muslin extremist terrorists doing their thing? (Aside from the life/death issue, of course.) Both groups believe they are right and both groups believe their God (Allah) wants them to destroy the infidels. You been out destroying lately?

Do Gays Have A Legitimate Complaint?

It is no secret that I do not like unkind, aggressive, assaultive, deceitful methods used to obtain an end or gain a goal. That said, let us consider whether the gay community has any truth to their complaints or are they just whining control freaks.

The Williams Institute on Sexual Orientation Law and Public Policy is a think tank dedicated to the field of sexual orientation law and public policy located at the UCLA Law School. There are some interesting pieces of research found on the Williams Institute Site which offer answers to our question. Answers like: Same-sex couples pay more in taxes and receive fewer benefits than do married different-sex couples; This fact sheet outlines some of the ways in which same-sex couples are treated inequality by the federal government. Poverty is at least as common in the LGB population as among heterosexual people and their families; 99.3% of all US Counties have gay people living in them.

So, since the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual community are our brothers and sisters and if YOU believe in equal rights (which was and is a foundation commitment of the United States of America), then we need to put our money where our mouth is and act upon our beliefs....that we are all equal. There should be no 'haves' and 'have nots.',

This Is Scary Stuff...

Supposedly Sony showed this video in a corporate leadership conference in 2008 (which I present here from YouTube). In one way it is scary. Life is now a race horse pace. Where will you be caught?
