Economic Recovery or Destruction?

Here is an editorial cartoon from the Chicago Tribune in 1934.....75 years ago! Anything look familiar to our day? Give especially careful attention to the Plan of Action for U.S. Remember how long it took to recover from the mess in the 1930s? Remember the adage: "Those who do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it." The sad thing to me is, no one seems to care that we are destroying our strength...or they refuse to believe it will happen. The only thing that will keep us from being a second rate power is the military. If, or when, they go, we will be toast. Our economic strength will be sapped because we are users instead of producers. Our financial strength will be gone, handed out to people and corporations which are already failing or have been stealing from the people. Our moral strength will be lacking, destroyed by the "anything goes" mentality and the "my rights...and do not bother me about my responsibilities" mentality.
