While some people just play in the stuff (or grumble about the stuff) or stay home because they cannot get out of their driveway, the little town of Bethel, MA (2,400 residents) makes things happen: They built the world's tallest snowwoman. In 1999 Bethel, MA set the record for the world's tallest snowman: 113' 7" certified by the Guinness Book of Records. His name was Angus. The lady's name is Olympia and rises 122' 1". No Sex On New Year's Night?
| And you though you had it bad!!! According to an article in the BBC, the women in Naples, Italy are vowing "no sex" for their husband/partner if their men refuse to stop the use of dangerous illegal fireworks on New Year's Eve. Local authorities and local churches are backing the idea and are urging the men to "make love, not explosions." The women, trying to stop the injuries caused by the illegal fireworks, have vowed the men will sleep on the couch unless.... Apparently there have been previous attempts with different sanctions to stop the use of illegal fireworks, with little progress. A local doctor and local councillor, who has long campaigned against the illegal fireworks, said a sex ban was "an issue that men are particularly sensitive to''. NO KIDDING!!! Come on guys! What kind of "explosion" do you want most??? |
