FRUIT COBBLER (Doc’s Mother’s recipe)

Melt 1 cube butter in 9” x 12” pan.
Mix and pour over melted butter – DO NOT STIR:
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar (white or brown)
2 tsp. Baking powder
1⁄4 tsp. Salt
3⁄4 cup milk

Pour 1 quart or more of fruit in middle of butter. Do Not Stir. If you use peaches,
slice them and add a little lemon juice if fresh. Apricots or lemons are especially
good. Bake 350 degrees for 40 – 45 minutes or until done. Serve warm with ice
cream or whipped cream.
