Granola

Adelle’s Homemade Cereal (Granola)

5 cups Old Fashioned Oatmeal
1 cup each of:
Cut raw almonds
Unrefined sesame seeds
Sunflower seeds
Shredded coconut (if you want)
Soy flour
Powdered milk (non-instant)
Wheat germ

Combine all the above dry ingredients

Add:
1 cup honey
1 cup vegetable oil

Patiently combine until all moist

Bake on cookie sheets at 300 degrees until slightly brown….maybe 30 minutes.
Store, crumbled in Tupper or similar. You are welcome to double or triple the recipe. Doc usually triples.

This is an old time recipe. Back when no one “worried” about heart healthy. Now they spent a lot of money convincing you a recipe is heart healthy. But this recipe, back in the day, was just the same heart healthy.
